About Benny Najje
Najje Washington a.k.a Benny BamBeno was born on March 9, 1982 in Alaska. He’s the son of two parents that were in the Air Force so that makes him a military brat. Music has always been in Najje’s household since the 80’s. The first rap song he ever heard was Kool Moe Dee “Wild Wild West”. Then one day he saw Another Bad Creation and Immature on t.v. and caught the bug, he wanted to be on t.v. In his teenage years Najje would listen to any music from U2, Nirvana, Seal, to Scarface, the whole Deathrow camp, Outkast, Funkdoobiest, Twista, Crucial Conflict, Bone Thugs and the list goes on. Najje consider himself a student of the game. He recorded his first project in St.Louis, MO with his brother and their homeboys called the F.U.G.I.T.I.V.E. Family. They would go on to perform in numerous shows around St.Louis and eventually the F.U.G.I.T.I.V.E. Family would become the two brothers who would call themselves the R.E.B.E.L.Z. The R.E.B.E.L.Z. would record in studios that were the home to Charlie Chan, Beasta Music (Reece and the Playbois), and the TrakStarz.
Najje would move on from his brother and their group efforts and move to San Antonio, Texas with his wife and family to pursue his music goals and dreams. Najje attends DeVry University for Marketing. He figured if he can’t get into the industry as an artist, he’ll get in as a marketer. In 2012, Najje released his first project called “Keep’n It Phunky”. It was solely produced Nino Brown from Ghetto Good Productions and the two would eventually continue making projects together. In 2013 Najje released his second project “I’m Tryna Get On”. Najje feels that his real name is just a part of him. In order to feel like his audience can fully relate to him he started letting everyone know his nickname that his family calls him, Benny BamBeno. Benny BamBeno released a project also in 2013 called “Set tha T.O.N.E.” Najje/Benny BamBeno is now working on his double disc for 2014. His only goal is Tryna Get On!!!
